We can't go on like this.  Barack Obama has already created such a wide lead that it is virtually impossible for Hillary Clinton to catch him in pledge delegates.  She has had to resort to Republican fear mongering, and whether intentional or not, her surrogates have been reduced to race-baiting for votes.  The only way to stop her is to make it absolutely clear that there is no chance for Clinton to win.

That's where the superdelegates come in.  They have the power to stop the process dead in its tracks.  They can make Pennsylvania irrelevant.  They can unify the party so that Sen. Obama can focus on the real challenge, which is denying George W. Bush a third term via John McCain.  If only they have the strength and courage to do so.

There are a good five weeks until the primaries in Pennsylvania, and it's our goal to convince as many superdelegates as possible to endorse Sen. Obama.  We have created a "Superdelegates Central" here on Eyes On Obama so that everyone can get involved in the process.  The superdelegates have been sliced and diced (demographically speaking) so that you can find ones in your area to contact.  Most importantly, we've set up online petitions for each superdelegate just waiting for your signature.

If the superdelegates need a gentle shove to get off the fence, we're happy to oblige and we hope you help.  Get involved.  Get your friends, family and neighbors involved.

Paul Kanter had an interesting little blog post about the fact that Congress, which technically has the exclusive authority to declare war, has not done so with regard to Iraq (or any of the last several wars the U.S. has engaged in).  My first thought was that the Constitution's pronouncement that "Only Congress can declare war†more...

Throughout the course of the bruising heavyweight bout between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton for the title of Democratic nominee, much was made of the effect that the battle would have on the prospects of Democrats in the Fall.  The mudslinging, the name-calling, the shots at experience and policy- for the most part, it appeared that the pu more...

Like most Americans, I waited to fill out my taxes until the last minute.  I'm happy to say that I got the 1040 completed and into the post office - which was a complete nightmare by the way - on time.  Standing there got me thinking about what this exercise will feel like a year from now.  The reality is it all comes down to whi more...
