This video on the front page of the site today essentially sums up what I was trying to say with all those words in my last blog.

Click on this link to watch the "Obama too Sexy for President?" video

We all think the Senator is a great, visionary politician but plenty of Americans simply don't know or trust him yet because they are just now tuning in. Unfortunately, many rely on the media to inform them.

So, in this video I think he comes across a bit smug and yes, aloof . His response appropriately targets the key points that outline why he should be the natural and logical choice for working class voters but there is no feeling behind it. Honestly, he seems a bit irritated that he has to be bothered with such mundane issues. The subtext is, "come on you guys, it's me...Obama. People who know me think I am down to earth and you will too so why are you reporters bothering me with this nonsense". I completely get it. I would feel exactly the same way but I am not running for office.

Senator Obama IS the logical choice but I think he needs some suggestions. What are your suggestions for how Senator Obama can gain the trust of the working class? For starters, I say take off the tie and put the khakis back on. That's probably the way he likes it anyway.

Now that Missouri - the last outstanding state in the presidential race - had been counted and declared for Republican John McCain, we can officially evaluate how the major predictors did in their predictions for the 2008 elections. A comparative chart is below. On November 4, I set my official prediction for the 2008 election. How’d we more...

P.E.W.S. – Post Election Withdrawal Syndrome urbandictionary.com     After Obama got elected I became depressed. Not for the usual reasons political junkies get depressed post election. It was a question asked of Tavis Smiley that night that got to me. He was asked if he thought this meant “the issue of race had be more...

With every selection that Barack Obama makes for his White House team, right-wing pundits scramble for their megaphone to lambaste the President-elect for choosing former Clinton Administration officials and Capitol Hill veterans. And every time, it sounds something like this: “filling the Cabinet with former Clinton operatives, former Cong more...

The attached message below was sent to me from someone who lives in Alaska.  I think we should share these insights with as many people as possible.  Also, I know Sarah Palin is not running for President but given the way Dick Cheney has a crafted a unique scope of work for himself, we might want to pay attention.   http://w more...

I am glad Senator Obama has chosen to continue with online fundraising. The pundits and the right are having a field day with it though, calling him a flip flopper and saying he doesn't keep his word. I certainly would have thought the campaign would have anticipated this and crafted offensive messages. Instead of saying "the system is broken" why more...

The speech was good but I wish she would have included some additional qualifiers in her speech: 1. She needs to address her comments about Obama not being as qualified as she and McCain 2. an acknowledgement that she has stirred up alot of controversy about having 18mil votes (which is a huge unknown on both sides) and counting the votes in FL a more...
