Tomorrow is another "Super" Tuesday. Come on over to eyesonobama.com to participate in the pre-primary discussion in the forums today. And make sure to bring your most honest opinions, no matter whether you're pro-Hillary, pro-Obama, or pro-McCain.

You know that scene in the movie "The Matrix" when that cat dashes across a room - then magically reappears only to sprint in the exact same direction in the exact same fashion across the exact same room?

It wasn't just harmless déjà vu - the repetition was a sign of something much more sinister. There was "a glitch in the Matrix", as one of the characters explained in the movie.

That brings us to this election season.

The political machinery, especially on the side of the Democratic Party, looks like it needs some maintenance done to it. Because we, the American people, are seeing the breakdown of the ugly deceptions of politics during this primary season; we're watching it strip away at the seams.

What other candidate besides Hillary Clinton this election year could have lost 11 primaries in a row, but still remain in the race? Why is the same old song-and-dance repeating itself?

It's like the movie "Groundhog Day", but not nearly as entertaining.

That's why I compare these primaries more closely with "The Matrix": Clinton's misdirections, misspeakings, and redirections actually have some voters believing a sham that's right in front of their eyes.

And for some reason Obama is being rejected by the political matrix right now - he's the glitch.

Pundits all of sudden don't like him both because he's unconventional and because he's consistent. From his handling of the Wright issue to the silly gas tax break issue, these were first the reasons they loved him.

He doesn't say what we want him to say, but instead what we need to hear. And the voters seem to appreciate that as demonstrated in Obama remaining competitive in the last primaries as well as in the polls.

The Wright controversy revealed a man of integrity who is going to be honest. It would have been politically expedient for Obama to have thrown Wright under the bus in the first place. Instead, Obama was pushed around by Wright, so he pushed right back.

I wonder if Clinton had had to face the same scrutiny Obama's had to face over his pastor, whether or not she would have fared as well. But we most likely will never know because this new phenomenon in the world of politics is apparently reserved for only those who look like Obama.

McCain's and Clinton's pastors haven't been placed under the same spotlight to the extent of Obama's to this day.

Polls show Obama is rebounding. That's a feat that a regular politician like Clinton or McCain probably could not have accomplished because they are characters from a movie full of the same old deceptions and pandering.

And frankly, I walked out on that movie a long time ago.

I like the way you put it.  I just hope Indiana and NC aren't looking for reruns...

Youre right, Brigitte. The US is ready for a female Commander in Chief,  but not this one.

Well said - not this woman.  HRC will mess it up for future "righteous" women who may have a real shot at becoming the president!!!

[Cross-Posted on my New Blog, Library Grape.] The Obama team made what I consider to be a political masterstroke yesterday by announcing their selection of respected former Congressman Leon Panetta to head the CIA. Although somewhat mixed, the reactions from the intelligence community have included a lot of praise for the Panetta pick: Former inte more...

I think it’s incredible that Beau Biden, the Delaware Attorney General and son of the state’s senior US Senator, went overseas for a tour of duty in the Iraq with his Delaware National Guard Unit. It’s a selfless act of bravery and patriotism. And from a partisan standpoint, I think it’s fantastic because far too few Democ more...

With his ship taking on water quickly, it’s captain- embattled Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich- is still firing his canons wildly. And much to the vexation of Senate Democrats, he’s actually landing some nasty shots. Despite having been charged with attempting use his constitutional appointment powers to sell President-elect Barack more...

The more and more I think about this Palin pick-- the more I digest about her-- the more her selection as McCain's running mate doesn't sit right with me. This is not because I'm a proud Democrat or that I'm an even prouder liberal, but because I'm a thinking human being. I could go on a tirade about how spectacularly unqualified she is for the V more...

Last night, the Clintons started on the long road to redemption among the supporters of Barack Obama, the other segment of the Democratic Party.  There's often a lot of talk about what Obama will do to win over Hillary supporters but not much discussion of the near disrepair of the Bill Clinton legacy.  He had alienated a lot of folks, pa more...

I've thought about it as much as probably everyone else--from the bloggers to the pundits, from the voters to the candidates themselves. But when I tried to narrow down Obama's and McCain's options in the VP race to a point where I could make an informed prediction of who they'd choose, I couldn't. Wait, that's not entirely true. I did have my fa more...
