Surely McCain and the Republicans will not drag race into Kentucky

As I write this, I start to become aware that there are others out there who will not be offended by this at all. For those people, I only hope and pray that soon there will come a day when people are not judged by their color.

I am on my computer almost daily and not much shocks me on You Tube; however this was not only extremely shocking to me but very disturbing.

We live in the United States of the America in the year 2008 and the fact that there are people who would actually vocalize and be filmed, while setting or standing so calmly, saying such deeply racial feelings is beyond belief to me.

After watching the video, there was no doubt in my mind as to why Hillary won by such a large percent in West Virginia. I found it hard to believe that she would end up with such a win, even after hearing that the state of West Virginia consisted of 95% of whites.

I am a middle aged, middle class white female in Indiana and the thought that only a few states away there are actually people who live in a state with so much of its population sharing these feelings is quite upsetting, if not scary to me.

I was actually scared when my parents left me alone in my room. I was not at all prejudiced, just a little afraid of the unknown.

My roommate and I became friends and shared the same dorm room for a week. She was the only African American on the entire floor. Looking back, I wonder now if maybe she was he one who was scared.

I can see how she may have felt. Seeing, her husband, a man of color actually potentially have the chance to become our next President must have made her so proud.

Some of we Caucasians actually take things for granted that not that long ago others did not have the liberty of doing.

I feel that is just one more factor about him that makes him an excellent candidate for our President. He can reach out to both sides because he comes from both sides.

As for those who are ignorant of Barack's background and only look at his color, they need to watch his story "I am Kansas I am Kenya" or read one of his books.
