Women are smarter than that!
The bump that the Republican ticket got after their convention has made some supporters very worried. Some of my friends tell me what we should have or shouldn’t have done. I see their concern and I try to assure them that they should have faith and work hard. Some, of course, have switched completely to the other camp because a woman has been made VP.
Yes, Hillary was not made the VP. But she has graciously given over her mantle to Barack Obama. What we have to ask ourselves is “Why did he pick SP as his running mate?” With all the stories around her, do you think she was properly vetted? That brings me to the core of my consternation. John McCain in his book said that he has always had ambition to become president. Seeing that it was slipping away, he decided to bring in a woman, to lure Hillary’s women.
Well, that’s because he thinks women in the Democratic Party are stupid and in their anger they cannot tell right from wrong. And back to McCain and his VP choice- If he really thinks of advancing her career and working for the American public, he would let her speak to the public and not bubble her around him just to get the crowd on his side. Who is he fooling? Women or himself? He would rather trade his dignity and straight talk than lose an election.
The things he has said about himself, about others and against women, he tries hard now to plaster it on Obama to scare women away. McCain says terrible things about a young teenage first child, who calls his wife the C-word, who laughs when a states lady like Hillary is called the B-word and he laughs, and most of all disparages rape victims. Maybe he really believes that Americans are stupid. He needs to be educated in many issues on women and stop trying to make people believe that he wants a caretaker presidency that he would hand over in four years. We need a president who will work for us to change the last painful years into four prosperous and soft landing years.
