Hillary learns from GOP, tries to steal Florida

When Florida moved their primary ahead of Feb 5th, all the democratic nominees agreed to not actively campaign in the state.  After her stinging loss in South Carolina, Hillary Clinton and her team made the decision to reevaluate that pledge.  Over the past several days she has made trips to the Sunshine State, attempting to convince voters that she is the only Democrat who cares about Florida.  To be fair, the trips have been under the guise of "private" fundraising events, but she has been happy to pick up endorsements and play up the importance of her expected win.

With Feb 5th rapidly approaching, it seems strange for a candidate to spend any time campaigning in a state that doesn't count.  Until you realize that that candidate is the say-anything, do-anything to win candidate, Hillary Clinton.  If there's no competition, there's no victory.

After the powerful endorsements going to Barack Obama yesterday from the Kennedy camp, the Clintons must be desperate for something to stop the tide of positive press that is going to Obama right now.  It's up to Obama's staff and supporter to start deflating this "triumph" before it's declared.  The Clintons are masters of spin, so expect their Communications Director, Howard Wolfson, to be in full slimeball-mode tonight as he tries to spread this myth.  Don't be fooled though, Hillary is not the first politician to unfairly declare victory in Florida.
