If you're planning on heading to the bookstore to pick up the upcoming Sarah Palin book, be careful to read the title closely. The Nation, the liberal monthly magazine, is planning a release of its "Going Rouge," on the very same day Sarah Palin will release her much-anticipated memoire, "Going Rogue."
The full title od Palin's book will be, Going Rogue: An American Life. Set for release on Nov. 17, the book promises to "paint an intimate portrait of growing up in the wilds of Alaska; meeting her lifelong love; her decision to enter politics; the importance of faith and family; and the unique joys and trials of life as a high-profile working mother." Despite not hitting shelves for nearly a month, Palin's work has already reached number one for it's presales on the Amazon bestseller list (though it has fallen to #2 in recent weeks with the anticipation of Stephen King's latest thriller).
The Nation will release Going Rouge: An American Nightmare on the same day, with more than just a very similar title. The book cover will be almost identical (see photo above), only The Nation's version will feature an ominous looking sky with dark clouds and lightening bolts. Senior editor Richard Kim will edit the book along with Executive Editor Betsy Reed. The rest of the nonfiction work will be penned jointly by 23 members of the magazine's staff.
