As surprised as many political watchers were at John McCain’s surprise choice for his vice presidential running mate, looking at the selection of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin in retrospect makes a lot of sense. First, a special shout out to Brian Fairbanks for letting us know about this. Nerve.com has published the internal McCain Campaign talking points memo dealing with the Palin VP selection. I can't confirm its authenticity, but the Republican surrogates I've seen this afternoon are quoting it verbatim.
