I watched Barack Obama’s half hour infomercial on Wednesday (Oct. 29), along with some of his appearance with Bill Clinton in Florida later in the evening. Nobody asked my opinion, but the great thing about these blogs is that nobody has to. We can sound off anyway, so here goes…

One of the phrases recently jumped on by the McCain campaign is that Obama is determined to “share the wealth.” This is a phrase that scares a lot of people, and John McCain himself has called it “socialism,” which is a word designed to scare everybody who was not already scared by “share the wealth.”  more...

A Canadian friend asked me last night about watching the election returns on the evening of November 4. When will we really know who won? When can I go to bed? I had not thought about it, but my response was basically the following:
