I can tell this board is going to be a lot of fun. Here are some guidelines to make sure that it remains that way: Suggest a Candidate - Please use the "Suggest a Candidate" thread to suggest a possible VP candidate that's not on the list. If you just want to get a dialogue going, you can of course create a new topic. Official Candidate Topics - Feel free to start your own topic about any candidate, but there will be one official topic per candidate, and instead of stickying all of them (which would take up the whole page), I'll create one sticky topic with links to each topic.

There are several reasons Hillary cannot be a viable candidate for the VP slot. First and foremost she has been racially divisive since showing her desperation in the AP interview (...hard working...well, I mean...white hard working..). This has been a great offence even to her most ardent black supportors. Second, the ill will she has caused between her and Sen. Obama was summed up pretty well by Joe Madison on CNN. He stated that if Clinton is the VP, Obama will have to watch what he eats around her." Third, Obama does not need her and WILL win the office w/o her. And lastly, Americans really are tired of the same old Washington political dealings, with the same old Washington political insiders. I do however think that Bill Richardson will be a wise choice for VP. One, he is qualified in numerous areas of state, national and international government. Two, he can work across the aisle and is well liked on the Hill, three, he will bring in the Hispanic votes that voted for Hillary, four, we need someone that can handle the immigration issue and can speak to the Mexican government (b/c the illegals are not going anywhere and honestly the US cannot afford to have them leave). And lastly, Richardson showed tremendous courage when he publicly removed his support from Clinton to Obama for the reasons he stated. It just shows that you can stand up for what you believe to be right and still remain a politician.
