Obama has been against the war since day 1. He will responsibly w/d the troops, from Iraq, and use the money for domestic use in the U.S. The economy could certainly use it. In addition, Obama has said, in his campaign, that he would provide oversight and accountability to any and all spending. Bush and his cronies created a mess and ppl expect Obama to ride in on a freaking white horse and fix every bloody thing wrong w/ America. Those jackasses that elected Bush are now pointing fingers. Notwithstanding, those are the same jackasses that wanted a dimwitted fool, Sarah Palin, in the white house. /a |

It all started in Afghanistan, and Pakistan is tied to Afghanistan when it comes to terrorists seeking shelter. If the Bush admin had focused on Afghanistan, and not wasted time, money and effort in Iraq, things would not have been that bad in Afghanistan. Iraq was a major distraction. Tons of resources were wasted when it could have been used in Afghanistan. The Bush Admin, well, at least certain ppl tied to oil, were making off like bandits. Companies to which they were associated were getting contracts. It's shameful! /a |

I tried editing, but the edits would not post. Anyway, to answer your question, all those troops are needed to bring some sense of balance. Had the Bush Admin did what they were supposed to do, Obama would not have to try and clean up their mess. /a |
