Canvass Director - Colorado

Democratic victories this past fall particularly that of President Obama are great examples of what can be achieved when citizens become active in their Democracy. We took the first step towards moving this country in the right direction, now we need to tackle the important issues facing Americans from Healthcare, to Ending Torture, and Restoring our Civil Liberties! !
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates with a strong commitment to and desire for political and social change. Candidates must be strategic and have strong leadership skills and drive, must be goal-oriented and product-driven, have strong communication skills, and be a team player who works well with a wide range of people. Experience in hiring, training and supervising staff or volunteers is preferred. Previous field or canvassing experience is a plus.
Canvass Directors will manage one of 25 grassroots field offices, with bottom-line responsibility for all local operations, achieving fundraising and campaign goals.
Job Description:
- Recruitment: Build a team of 10-25 canvassers by recruiting from within the local community.
- Staff Management: Work with your staff in individual and group settings to develop leaders.
- Canvassing: Canvass door-to-door three-four days per week to work with staff in the field and meet personal fundraising requirements.
