Summary:
The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee seeks a Blog and Netroots Outeach Manager to work with Communications and Online Departments in building relationships with national and local blogs, and the netroots community.
Job Duties:
• Use established relationships with national political blogs to advance the communications message for a major Democratic political committee
• Play a key role in developing the blog for the 2010 election cycle
• Draft and post blog messages, moderate and respond to comments
• Compile and disseminate daily blog clips to Communications, Online, Direct Marketing and Research staff
• Implement proactive netroots outreach strategy
• Work with blog and netroots community to promote as many as 36 U.S. Senate campaigns
Job Qualifications:
• Two to four years of relevant experience
• Existing relationships with national and local political blogs
• Experience writing politically focused blog posts
• Experience devising netroots outreach strategy
