He's Hispanic, and that vote will be huge in many of the Mountain West states that will be in play this year.  If Hispanics vote in the same numbers for the ticket as African Americans have been, that could swing Florida, Colorado, Nevada and New Mexico.

He's my choice.

Good positives, all the basics are covered: access to a voting bloc, strength to offset perceived weakness (foreign policy), a guy that'll watch your back. Definitely a fellow progressive. A guy you can assign jobs to and see them get done.

After you put this guy in one of the two offices he's perfectly suited for, State or Veep, the rest fall into place. With Bill down the hall, you have Biden at State and Leahy / Hegel as  Defense / Natl Security Adv, either order. :-) Hillary is a Senator, good for you, you go girl!.

Let's see . . . Bloomberg at Treasury? AG should be rife with qualified candidates . . . Interior, Agriculture, Commerce, Labor, Health & Human Services, HUD, Transportation (Earl Blumenauer?), Energy, Education, Vets, Homeland Insecurity. Thought I'd mention them all, are there any Veep possibilities that would bebetter deployed in other Departments?

If you don't put Richardson at State or your Veep, you are wasting his talents.

But I gotta ask. Has Bill Richardson been fully vetted for this action? Have any of them?

A great test of his administrative capabilities: Barack's ability to avoid the debacle of an embarrasing running mate! With all the money flying around politics this last decade or so, how many of these people are clean?

I'm not shocked, I'd heard innuendos and such.
