Graham is too old; his presence on the ticket would undermine the message of change that has been so central to Obama's campaign. Graham should've been Gore's VP in 2000-- Florida would've been decisively blue, and Gore could've held onto his own home state of Tennessee (where many voters cast their ballots against Lieberman-- let's face it, the same parts of the country that tend to be racist, also tend not to think too highly of my tribe!) So, Bob had his chance. Or, rather, Gore missed an opportunity. But now, we've got to concentrate on the politics of the future. Picking an old guy like Graham won't get us anywhere. We need someone who can succeed Obama in eight years and carry the banner of progress into the future.
