Obama won the democratic nomination in February when he pulled far enough ahead of Hillary Clinton, making it impossible for her to catch him in pledged delegates, the popular vote, and states won. I use sports analogies to put the race in perspective. In all sports there's a certain time frame the contest will last. Just because a team scores the last few points doesn't make them the winner. Momentum doesn't mean anything if there is no time left in the game.
